Greene County residents had resigned themselves to a green Christmas until snow started falling in the early morning of Christmas Eve. The snow didn’t stop until Jefferson had 5.8 inches on the ground. Measurements provided by volunteer weather observer John Beltz are for the 24 hours preceding 6 am on the date listed.
Beltz reports a high temperature of 48 degrees and a low temperature of 13 degrees.
